Comprehensive Standard 3.2.10
The institution evaluates the effectiveness of its administrators, including the chief executive officer, on a periodic basis.

Louisiana State University at Alexandria evaluates all administrators annually, in accordance with Policy Statement 203 [1] . This evaluation is part of the institution’s normal assessment process as outlined in Policy Statement 225 (p. 4) [2] .
There are two phases to this process. Each administrator who supervises
five or more people is evaluated by those he/she supervises in a
“bottom up” evaluation [3] process.
Additionally, the Chancellor and Vice Chancellors are evaluated by all
faculty and staff. Results of the “bottom up” evaluation are sent to
the person being evaluated and to his/her supervisor. In addition, all
administrators are evaluated annually by their immediate supervisor in
a “top down” process [4] . The supervisor
receives the results of the “bottom up” evaluation prior to completing
the “top down” evaluation and considers those results in completing
the “top down” evaluation.
The Chancellor (CEO) is evaluated by the President of the LSU
System on a periodic basis. Typically there is an informal evaluation
each year while the third year involves a more in-depth evaluation [5]
with focus groups (including faculty, staff, students and community
leaders) providing the President with input on the effectiveness and
leadership of the Chancellor.
