Federal Requirement 4.4
The institution demonstrates that program length is appropriate for each of the degrees offered.

LSUA offers one certificate program requiring 40 credit hours, eight
associate degrees ranging in length from 61 to 76 credit hours, and
four bachelor degrees ranging in length from 123 to 129 hours.
Descriptions of all of these programs can be found in the LSUA Catalog
(p. 69-103) [1] .
LSUA's bachelor degrees were developed by faculty who used
comparable programs at other universities as a guide to development of
LSUA’s new programs. In some cases, e.g., nursing and elementary
education, state agencies carefully monitor programs to assure
compliance with mandated program length standards. Additionally, the
Louisiana Board of Regents (Academic Affairs Policy 2.15) [2]
provides definitions of program length for various types of degrees.
LSUA's programs all comply with Board of Regents' guidelines. The
length of LSUA’s programs are very comparable to those at other
institutions.
