Federal Requirement 4.6
Recruitment materials and presentations accurately represent the institution’s practices and policies.

The primary recruitment materials used by LSUA include the LSUA Catalog, [1] the semester Schedule of Classes, [2] and the LSUA website.
LSUA ensures the accuracy of these materials through a series of
reviews. The LSUA Catalog is updated annually and is reviewed several
times during the update process. Each unit that contributes material to
the catalog reviews drafts of the sections it contributes. The final
draft of the entire catalog is reviewed by the Publications Review
Committee. [3] The Schedule of Classes is
revised each semester and is reviewed by the academic departments,
Enrollment Services, Academic Affairs and the Publications Review
Committee. Any other publications [4] that
are developed for recruiting are reviewed by the Publications Review
Committee. Periodically, each department reviews and updates its
website information. Each department has elected a
webmaster who suggests changes to the department chair who then seeks
approval of changes from the dean. Approved changes are submitted to the Publications Review Committee. Upon
approval of the Publications Review Committee, changes are submitted to
the campus webmaster and the website is updated accordingly. Multiple
reviews reduce the chance of error and ensure that the materials
accurately reflect LSUA’s practices and policies. Powerpoint presentations [5] are also
used for recruitment. These presentations are reviewed by the Director
of Enrollment Services and the Recruiter and any other affected
departments.
LSUA participates in Louisiana Association of College Registrars and
Admissions Officers (LACRAO) sanctioned recruitment events [6] .
In the summer of 2001, LSUA signed an agreement to abide by the LACRAO
Ethical Practices and Standards for Postsecondary Outreach Activities [7] .
These standards are similar in scope, intent, and meaning to the
National Association for College Admission Counselors (NACAC) Statement
of Principles of Good Practice [8] . Both sets of standards require that the institution provide accurate information in recruitment activities and materials.
Each department produces materials specific to their purpose or
program. These materials are generally not used in initial recruitment,
but may be given to students who request them as they proceed with
researching educational opportunities. Examples include the “Important
Information About Federal Financial Aid” flyer, [9] departmental brochures, [10] and program handbooks for Clinical Laboratory Science, [11] Radiologic Technology, [12] Pharmacy Technician, [13] and Nursing [14] . All departmental recruiting matters require final approval of the Publications Review Committee.
