Federal Requirement 4.7
The institution publishes the name of its primary accreditor and its
address and phone number. (The publication of this information is
presented so that it is clear that inquiries to the Commission should
relate only to the accreditation status of the institution, and not to
general admission information.)

LSUA reports its status with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges as follows:
“Louisiana State University at Alexandria is accredited by the
Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia, 30033-4097; telephone
number 404-679-4501) to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.”
This statement appears in the front cover of the LSUA Catalog 2005-2006 [1] , on page 6, Section 1 of the LSUA Faculty Handbook [2] , and on page 6 of the LSUA Student Handbook 2005-2006 [3] . It is accurate in all of these documents.
In each case the statement is set off in a section titled
“Accreditation” and there is no reference to admissions or general
information in the vicinity. It is highly unlikely any reader would
presume the Commission should be contacted for information on anything
other than accreditation status.
